Our Volunteer Pilots Flew 1,098 Free Flights, Providing Patients Access to Care
Last year, LifeLine Pilots’ volunteer pilots flew 1,098 missions. Most served patients traveling far from home to receive critical medical care. Others supported urgent humanitarian needs. Every flight, however, carried a story of hope.
One of those stories belongs to Karen. Facing her third cancer diagnosis and a 700-mile round trip for treatment, she knew she couldn’t do it alone. When she discovered LifeLine Pilots, she found more than transportation—she found a lifeline to the care she needed. Our staff and volunteers are honored to help shorten that distance for Karen.
Executive Director Lindsey Kerr shares,
“LifeLine Pilots exists for a simple but powerful reason: no one should be denied medical care because transportation is out of reach. Every flight we arrange represents more than miles traveled—it’s a lifeline for a patient, a family, and hope for the future.”
As LifeLine Pilots marks its 45th year of service, the need for access to medical care has never been greater. Thanks to our volunteer pilots, donors, partners, and supporters, we can meet that growing demand. Together, we help ensure patients can reach critical, non-emergency medical care when distance stands in the way.
Our vision remains clear: a future where everyone has equal access to transportation for healthcare and humanitarian needs.
