What We Do
LifeLine Volunteer Pilots donate their time, their aircraft and their talent to help everyday people fulfill monumental needs. Headquartered at Byerly Aviation at the Peoria International Airport, LifeLine Pilots is a nonprofit organization with a true nationwide reach. We help those financially distressed who require vital medical care distant from home but cannot easily make the trip. The needs vary: children with birth defects en route to surgery, organ donation recipients headed for follow-up visits, terminally ill patients traveling to fulfill final wishes, and disaster-relief missions. Our Volunteer Pilots provide more than just a ride – they provide comfort and peace of mind!
Since 1981, LifeLine Pilots has facilitated more than 7500 flights for people who can’t afford to get there but can’t afford not to go. This is charity in every sense of the word: Our organization operates solely on donations from businesses, corporations and citizens who believe in our purpose and recognize the need.
